Before the outbreak of the epidemic, the Strekov Wine Festival organised by the Strekovin Civic Association in Strekov, in the district of Nové Zámky, became a very popular event, which has since been replaced by its successor, the Open Cellars in Strekov. The programme, which used to attract tens of thousands of visitors, has become more family-oriented following the epidemic, and now mainly features the work of farmers, winery owners and winemakers from the Strekov vine region.
